Note Thank you for your interesting account of our MS GKS 435 and its dating. I am not in any sense an expert in this kind of late humanistic Mediterranean palaeography myself, but cannot think of any more skilled and experienced scholars than the three palaeographers, whose opinions you quote.

Instead, I send you a set of simple images of the dominant watermark in the volume. For practical reasons I have selected the one in the last folio, 170. The height of it is ca. 6 cm. Variants occur, but it is my impression that they are seldom. The best example is probably the one in the blank leaf following f. 170.

I also send you the caption on Otto Brahe in Vello Helk’s excellent survey of Danish and Norwegian students’ travels in the period 1536 to 1660. It is compact reading, but it is no doubt the most detailed listing of his recorded whereabouts you can get.
