Toledo, Jan. 17, 1791), states that these original works of Mariana in 7 volumes were bought by him at the sale of the Jesuits' property in 1787.. Descr. de BL Cat.: HISTORICAL and other collections of Juan de Mariana, consisting of tracts and essays of his own composition, with corrections in his own hand, copies of chronicles, and miscellaneous papers on theological, literary, and other subjects. Seven volumes. Paper; xvith and xviith centt. Folio. At the beginning of Vol. i. is a memorandum of Phelipe Antonio Fernandez de Vallejo, recording the aequisition of the collection, which had formerly been in possession of the Jesuits' College at Toledo; 17 Jan. 1791. |
